Flashing screen

Has anyone suffered with an issue with flashing screen on Sky Air, it seems to be a random flash, white flash when watching programmes, it occurs mainly when I change channel and can happen a few times?

Do you see this happen in the same way as described by Reevo87, or is it different for you? Can you describe the issue for me please?

It will just randomly flash very quickly. I thought it was my eyes but my husband has seen it too. Doesn't happen very often but enough for us to notice it.

@KevNewMedia I've also seen something like this occur on the odd occasion, but it was only when watching Sky on-demand shows, but it hasn't happened in a while.

@Reevo87 @Stephbawden, out of curiosity, have you tried rebooting the Glass since you've seen the issue? (I've not seen this particular issue occur for well over a week now, and I regularly reboot the TV about once every 7-10 days).

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to System Management
3. Press Select
4. Go to Resets and Updates
5. Press Select
6. Go to Restart Device
7. Press Select.

Note this will take a few minutes to reboot, so expect to see a blank screen for 2 minutes until the Sky logo appears as its starting up.

I have tried the reset and it's made no difference, still flashing.

I have an open chat on here with Sky and they asked me to find local dimming setting under picture custom settings but there is no sign of this

@KevNewMediano I still have this issue, as mentioned I have an open chat with Sky, have tried doing a reset on the picture, switched to standby and unplugged at the wall, into settings and reset device, also played with contrast as advised, nothing has worked.

its apparent when first switching onto a channel and during tv shows, doesn't matter if its demand stuff or live, also noticed it on menus as well.

Sky Glass Air only has global dimming, not local dimming. Perhaps you should tell that to Sky?

@Reevo87 Have you checked if Auto backlight adjustment is set to Off?

I've recently noticed that I only seem to get these symptoms when I've got that switched on and when its off I don't see any of the random white flashing.

Go to Settings -> Picture and the first option is called Auto backlight adjustment and you can toggle it on and off.

Good to hear it's also sorted it for you.

It was just a hunch I had as I was getting the flashing quite a lot the other day and it occurred to me it could be an issue with the backlight incorrectly adjusting.

We have just upgraded from our gen one 65" to the new Air 65".

we have exactly the same problem with the screen flashing ! 😡

@P5SHN Go to Settings -> Picture and the first option is called Auto backlight adjustment and you can toggle it off, that should stop it happening.

I'm having a similar issue, when the sky glas air is tuned off, the screen flashes every few minutes, with the tv being in the bedroom it's not the best when trying to sleep
