If the latter, then they should have insurance in place to cover it. Although if you have home insurance then is your policy set up for accidental damage?

If you liked Glass, before it got broken, then eBay, Gumtree etc might be good places to look before paying what Sky have quoted you.

I personally wouldn't go for Glass Air if it's your main TV. There's a reason it's cheaper than Glass.

Sky Glass broken - options

I have a 65 inch Sky Glass TV which we moved carefully the other week but despite the care we took, the screen is now faulty with a hairline crack in the middle top of the screen. It also has white horizontal and red vertical lines. It’s annoying because at no time was the TV dropped.

Still got £800 to own this TV for which I stupidly didn't take out Sky Protect, though I will get something back on the home insurance.

What is my best option now? Pay Sky £624 for a reconditioned Gen 1 Sky Glass? Buy a different TV which may offer a better picture? Or move to a Sky Glass Air subscription?

I sold my own on Facebook Marketplace after getting the Gen Two.

Most sellers are only looking for enough to cover their loan agreement but you will probably have to collect it from them - as you know it's a weighty bit of kit!

They are considerably less than that on eBay...
