Playback Shows Jumping Back

I'm having in issue when playing shows from my playlist, when part way through we'll get past the first section of the show and through the adverts then it will jump back to the beginning of the previous section. So we have to fast forward through what we've just watched and through the ads again to get to where we need to be. This has happened multiple times and most notably with ITVX shows. Is this a known issue that others are also experiencing? Thanks.

TL;DR: the software that stops you from fast forwarding through adverts doesn't work properly. Ring up customer services and moan at them, and they'll give you ad skipping for free.
