topic Sky Glass - Cost in Sky Glass

My broadband provider has just put up my monthly premium. So, I thought what a good opportunity to consider getting Sky Glass Gen 2 alongside Sky Broadband. I spoke to Sky - they started by saying 'you're a VIP customer, we'll see what we can do' - sounded promising. Then proceeded to actually increase the cost of my current bundle! No discount was possible, he said, not even matching my current Sky Q deal. I then discovered a new Sky customer can obtain the same deal with a £60 per month discount. Is Sky marketing just a bit too clever for its own good?

Just a fact of life that new customers always get the best deals to entice them. It's sad though that loyalty isn't rewarded. Not just Sky either, other companies all put new over existing customers.

Sky Groups owners, Comcast, are burdened with debt. They massively overpaid for Sky when they bought it from BskyB - and you/us are paying for it! This is why the traditional 'deals' that used to be handed out like candy to existing customers have all but dried up. That, plus the entire linear TV market is in decline only mean one thing - increased costs for consumers. Bad times.
