Bug: Pausing a "Skip Ads" show sends you back to the end of the last break

I've recently been watching Sucession and the "skip ads" option has been very useful. However, I've found that if I try and pause after I've skipped an ad break, instead of pausing, it skips me straight back to the start of the current segment of the show. I then can't Fast Forward as it keeps skipping back to the same point, the only way back is to re-watch it all or do a "hard fast forward" by holding down the forward key to skip rapidly ahead and try and get back to where I was. Has anyone else experienced this bug?

We've not been able to replicate this issue on various pieces of equipment and different broadband connections at this end.

How do you find your broadband generally? It feels like the service is not able to gain enough buffer and is jumping back to it's last known point.

It's around 40MB/s, the TV is very close to the router and I've not had any other issues.

Out of curiosity does the problem occur when other devices are also using the internet. Whilst 40 Mbps is fine for stream if that bandwidth is being used by other devices and thus taking it below the 25-30 Mbps that would likely cause issues.

Also have you tested the same happens on wifi and Ethernet cable (making sure to turn off wifi in the glass settings) ?

I've had exactly the same problem. It's really frustrating and happens randomly, whether loads of people at home and using the internet, or no-one else at home. And this is during the day and late at night.

Go to Settings > System Management and on the first tab "System Info" can you share us your build version?

This is still happening to me, it is however limited to the walking dead shows on demand. If I pause the show it jumps back to the previous ads and if I try to skip the ads it goes back to the beginning of the sho. This happens on my Sky Glass and Puck and both are connected via Ethernet. Other shows are fine and can watch them ok.

As it's just the one show, sounds like a program issue.

would suggest, to get this checked and resolved by Sky is to send an email to the Sky Viewer relations team to report it;

They do respond to emails with any updates for your queries or problems.
