Hi there,

I bought my Sky Glass when I lived just outside London (so in the London TV region) and have since moved to Northern Ireland. I have updated the postcode on my Sky Glass and Sky account, however I still receive BBC London, ITV etc, when I should now have BBC Northern Ireland as my main BBC Channel and UTV instead of ITV .

I've called the call centre on so many occasions but they don't seem to understand what I mean when I try to explain channels and news you receive usually depends on where you live in the UK.

We miss out on all the news that is relevant to our region as we just get London news, as well as programming that is specific to Northern Ireland.

Is there any way our geographic location can be updated on Sky Glass? My mother (who also lives in Northern Ireland) recently purchased a Sky Glass, and her main BBC channel is BBC Northern Ireland and her main ITV channel is UTV (she also receives ROI channels RTE 1 and 2 etc), so I know Sky Glass does broadcast these.

Any help or suggestions to get our local channels update is gratefully received! Thank you 😊

Who have you spoken to at Sky? If it wasn't the Tech team I would try and speak to them as regular calls centre stuff probably can't help.

Failing that, maybe one of the Superusers on here can open a request with the Sky staff who would send you an invite for a private chat.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I've escalated this to Sky and they should be in touch with you soon about it.
Look out for a message from Sky on your email and Sky Community private messages.
Look out for the blue chat bubble within your Sky community.
More about an escalation here;

Hi @OC13 I was going to suggest you checked you address on your Sky account but I see you have already done that so in theory Glass should now be showing the correct regional programmes. To get you some help I have escalated your post to the Community Messaging Team who will send you an invitation for an online chat.

The link below explains how the procedure works

https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Did-you-know/Escalating-a-post-to-a-Sky-expert/ba-p/3711147

Keep a look out for the speech chat bubble that will appear on the bottom left of your screen when you are logged onto this forum (you will need to refresh your browser from time to time until you see the chat bubble). When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or the chat will be automatically closed. Note replies from Sky are not instant so you will need to regularly check the chat thread.

Good luck 🤞
