Is it ok to unplug my extra puks when not in use so I get more WiFi to my main glass tv

Yeah it's fine. I don't expect it'll make much difference but you can certainly do that.

Would not advise keeping them powered off overnight or for long periods.

Just leave them in standby.

The Pucks do get regularly updates overnight, the best time to have the devices drip fed with the updates.

Not just for the OS itself, being renamed to Sky OS from Entertainment OS.

But, firmware updates to the puck and Sky Glass TV, remotes and Sky live.

Sky backend process updates and UI updates

Plus Sky app and tnird party app updates.

These updates will not themselves cause much if any noticeable hit on a local network, downloaded and installed in a timely manner.

When in standby, all the pucks are doing is a keep me up for their wifi connection and not constantly using your wifi connection to any great extent.

But, as said its best to be up for the regular updates, rather than having that done on a power up and during day viewing.

Most important is to make sure in the puck settings is to have Network standby set to On and if using ethernet to turn wifi Off.

This will stop the Puck or Sky Glass losing its connection to your local network, that can cause startup from standby startup issues.

It's not really a good idea to power them down when not in use due to the fact a lot of back end stuff, call it house keeping if you like, gets done overnight. @Ks27
