Series next episode.

When watching a series and next episode will play inso many seconds comes up, if I press the middle button it doesn't play and screen goes black ,so have to back to continue watching and play next episode or go onto playlist and start again.

@Monkey+12 Does it play correctly if you just let the countdown keep running and do nothing? If the next episode still doesn't play check your Settings > Viewing preferences and ensure autoplay is toggled to the on position?

If autoplay is turned on then try a restart through Settings > System management > resets & updates - restart device. You will get a blank screen for a couple of minutes and then the Sky logo will appear and it takes roughly another minute.
