I can’t get YouTube to open on skyglass

Anyone know how to resolve this problem, sky glass wouldn't connect to internet so I unplugged it then plugged it back in, internet works fine, try to get onto YouTube but all I get is a blank screen, the 'back' button doesn't work to come of it so I have to use the 'home button' I've been online and it tells me to switch tv off at main and then switch it back on but as I had already done that can't see the point in doing it again. YouTube is working fine on all other devices. Can anyone help please?

I have same issue.

Youtube channel has black screen, all others are working fine.

I'd appreciate any help please.

I've unplugged for several minutes

I've even rebooted router

Whilst turning off and on again does solve it, the issue comes back every morning. What we really need is a fix for whatever bug or issue is causing it to stop loading rather than a clunky workaround.

I've not seen another thread with this issue?

Have you tried signing out of YouTube app fully? Then pulling the plug for a few minutes

you will then need to sign in again with your Google details.

Ive had this issue also, along with it refusing to connect to the Internet, sound dropping out, picture quality, pixilated, this gen 2 glass is just total garbage! But im stuck with it till it's paid off. We're going to take it down and put back our old tv we fortunately kept hold of. It's been nothing but trouble.

I can't get YouTube to work on my sky glass. It's a black screen nothing else. I've rebooted tv, router etc nothing is working.

I've fixed it I went into setting - system management- apps and updates and reset the device.
This worked for me

Hi @Stephenward45

Your issue sounds like a weak WiFi signal being received by the tv. Try using an Ethernet cable directly from the tv to your router whilst turning off WiFi in the settings

you can check the speed being received within the native Netflix app in the settings. There is an option called check network. You need to be seeing speeds of around 30mbs at least

In general terms it is the first thing to do when you spot a problem. It will resolve most of them.

Yes I had same issue, advice was good reset apps and turning it off for a white reset issue! Thanks for advice!
