Sky TV Wall Mounting

Followed the instructions for wall mounting Sky Glass. We have then hung the TV on the bracket but there are no further instructions. Is it meant to just hang? It's probably right but it just feels like it needs to be bolted or secured but there's no access to do so as it's almost flush to the wall.

Hi @Kayzoo123

The wall mount is included in the package along with spacers.

You need to source your own screws to attach the mount to wall.

I don't have that, people from sky come and set it up to go on TV unit but took the packing away?

Hi @Kayzoo123

They should have left you the 4 spacers. The wall mount is actually what attaches the TV to stand, when using it to attach to the wall you dismantle the stand.

@Kayzoo123 alternstively you can buy a thrird party wall mount. Glass TV have standard mounting points in a 300 x 200 arrangement.

As long as you followed the instructions and the wall you attached the bracket to is strong enough then that's it. Glass is a heavy TV so gravity will hold it onto the bracket.

The set is secured by the lugs on the top edge of the bracket: to be dislodged it would have to be both lifted and tilted backwards, which is incredibly unlikely to happen accidentally.

I'm thinking of purchasing sky glass but would like to know if when selecting the fast delivery option where they install and take to room of choice etc does this include wall mounting if I provide the correct bracket,screwdriver etc

For your question on delivery, setup and mounting;

The delivery, now from AIT, does not offer setup and wall mounting.

You have to do the setup and mounting yourself or arrange for a third party to mount it.
