The Glass TV is capable of decoding a Dolby Atmos soundtrack and outputting it through its built in speakers. Not all content on Sky's streaming service is encoded in Dolby Atmos. If you pay the additional charge for UHD & Atmos then you will receive Atmos on Sky content which has been encoded with it. Shows such as Day of the Jackal and many on demand movies on Sky Cinema have Atmos, but not everything. Watching EastEnders on BBC1 on a Glass TV for example will not give you Atmos sound just because the TV has extra speakers.

Simply, it's a paid-for service, same as UHD.

It provides access to uhd / Dolby atmos on sky demand programming as a paid add on.

the tv will display uhd / dolby atmos content from third party apps without this add on providing the content supports it and you pay the third party app for the required access.

You can remove this pack easily from your subscription in the MySky app
