The picture we receive from sky glass/stream or sky q, how do we actually know that it's actually 4k resolution/upscaled when we go onto the 4k channel. There's no way of checking the broadcast information relating to the channel.

The only UHD broadcast channels are a couple of the Sky Sports output. No other numbered channel EPG content is UHD: that's only found on-demand and will be identified as such in the content description.

I don't believe there's any obligation on channels to identify true 4K or upscale.

Typically it's HDR which makes more difference: unfortunately Glass isn't particularly good at HDR.

I find the picture for HD very good unlike many customers, better than our previous Qled 4k TV. But I also find little difference between HD and 4k on Sky glass, sometimes I actually find it worse like when watching something on BBC iplayer like the recent Nightsleeper series.
