Powerline adapters can work well for many people, if the internal electrical wiring in your home is of half decent quality.

You don't need to spend much - you can get starter kits for £30-£40.

It's a simple case of plugging one adapter into the mains next to your router and connecting an ethernet cable from the router to the adapter.

You then connect a second adapter next to the Stream puck in your other room and run another ethernet cable from it to the puck. Turn WiFi off on the puck settings and your broadband connection should be transferred from your router, through your home's electrical wiring, to the puck.
