We have no sound from our sky glass and what a surprise the warranty is a month out of date , sky are refusing to help (their suggestion was claim off home insurance or pay £657 upfront for another set) absolutely raging at this sub standard equipment. Will be taking this further as the Glass isnt fit for purpose.

You'll have to be able to demonstrate that that's the case. I'm not sure that a single sound fault, albeit annoying, meets the 'not fit for purpose' threshold. If you've had other faults over the course of the two years you've had the TV, and Sky have a record of you reporting them, that would improve your case.
