Sky Glass Home Screen

For the last few weeks I've noticed faint lines on the Sky Home Screen blue background and blotchy squares that weren't there before, making me think there's a fault with my TV. Is this the case or have Sky just lowered the resolution of the Home Screen?

@SquareEyes86 I no longer own a Glass TV as I have moved to Stream however when I did have Glass I ended up with a 2 inch wide vertical grey line on my screen. I unplugged the TV and left it overnight and in the morning when I plugged it back in and it rebooted the line had disappeared and luckily never returned.

I don't know if you will have the same result but it is certainly worth a try. Good luck 🤞

Thanks for the reply. These don't seem to be permanently in the same place as I scroll down the home screen and on some other parts of the menu they aren't there. It's just not as crisp as it was before. On hitting the home button now, for a milisecond, before the still images come on there's faint diagonal lines. If I go onto the my account or an upgrade screen (which also uses the same blue background) They aren't there. Also is it common to see blotches of green moving squares on the live Sky channels? Seen one other similar discussion on here and it may point to the way Sky inserts its ad smart commercials. Some possible glitch that causes this? It looks awful. I've seen it during Border Force end credits (like a spill of light from the white text onto the black background if that makes sense, but as described above, these are green moving square blotches) Also seen it on a Head & Shoulders advert, the green blotches show up on the black bars at the top and bottom.

@SquareEyes86 I wouldn't have a clue as to what is causing the screen issues you have described. Maybe someone with some TV technical knowledge will see your post.

mine is EXACTLY the same. blotchy lines and squares in the background of the blue menu screens. it's been there about 6 weeks since one of the updates. isn't it annoying. I'm starting to regret getting sky glass. we should be the one being paid since we are essentially beta testing the new updates for them.

Mine has now spilled over into moving pictures. Plenty of pixelation in the darker scenes. Moving square blocks and splodges all over the place. Flashing green squares on the black boarders of films too. Not happy.
