Afternoon all.

My telly is up in October and I have all channels..

But my broadband and phone is up in July and my renewal has come through.

£30 more- and that's just for broadband side of things.

Called retentions who seem to currently have their hands tied for existing customers and he advised me to call back next month to see if they could offer anything better than a £25 a month increase.

And Virgin Media are knocking on the door..

A rant? Yes a little bit. There's no justification for such an increase, new customers or not.

Any advice on getting a better deal and staying where I am, way more convenient that way for me.

And Glass is my only TV, so stuck with that until at least October.

I have glass and swapped from sky broadband to virgin media last October.

i was with sky broadband for at least 8 years. The only reason I swapped was to get a 350mb connection instead of the max 35mb. I have internet only with VM and the extra speed has been a godsend !

I still have my sky glass and tv sub. The beauty of moving to virgin is that you can overlap the end / start date so no loss in internet. Virgin have some good deals for new customers and I'm currently paying less for a 24 month contract for more or less 10 times the speed

I've had no issues with compatibility between the glass / pucks and VM

Just switch broadband provider. This is quite common in the broadband industry where renewals deals usually aren't as great as new customer deals so to get the best prices it's always worth switching your ISP at the end of every 18/24 month contract.
