So is anyone else frustrated with the unconscious service with Sky Glass. I love the concept but it's driving me mad. If it's not the picture constantly freezing it's not being able to access the playlist of things you have tagged to view. Dispite turning off, unplugging, resetting, testing broadband nothing seems to work. The help advises you that it's not there fault it's the channel or app that is at fault but can three or four channels all be having technical issues at the same time. I think not. Seriously thinking about leaving or reverting back to Sky Q at least I knew it worked!

This is due to it constantly requiring access to Sky's servers, unlike most internet enabled devices that don't need to be constantly connected to the internet and can deal with changes in network strength or brief network dropouts.

Ultimately the only way to test if this is th ecase is to disable the WIFI in the Glass settings and to connect the Glass via an ethernet cable, either directly to the router or to a powerline adapter. If this solves the issue and gets rid of the freezing issue you know that the cause of the problem is the WiFi network.

mines terrible now. the pictures and colours in the menus are always blocky and hazey, the menu itself freezes up 4 or 5 times a day, the voice control is broke half the time and the apps also lock upba lot when scrolling through them (netflix and prime eapecially).

sky glass could be great , but it isn't a patch on the speed and reliability of the actual boxes (not Q though) Q was just as bad.

I too had this problem, so after contacting the tech people I was told that they would send me a booster. Which arrived, plugged in and worked lovely. About 2 weeks later, same again. I have to unplug the TV every morning before work so my partner will not have issues later. She hasn't a clue what to do.

I wish to leave glass as ive got the 1st TV and I want to revert back to Q or whatever else is available. I want to go back to my Sony Bravia TV as its so much better picture quality. I have purchased my Glass TV of which I just away from. Contacted sky yesterday about this to be told I need to cancel sky glass first, and then start a new contract for a Q box. But won't send until I cancel Glass. Could be up to a month I was told. I said not acceptable as I didnt do that the other way round. I had the TV activated with 24 hrs of Q being removed. I also suggested creating a new account for my partner. Not allowed more than 1 account at any address. How can I get away from glass without too much too much disruption?
