There is a set up cost for each of these (£39.99) and they are now only loaned to you. Whole home is an additional £12 per month.

See: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/watching-sky-in-different-rooms-sky-glass

MikeAlanR

You can usually get a discount on the whole home pack and usually the first additional puck is provided without the £39.95 fee although that can change at any time as it's an offer.

I've set up my sky glass tv, but when purchasing I was assured that I would still have access to sky on other tvs in the house even though my sky Q boxes wouldn't work, there weren't any instructions on how to get this to work

The Q boxes have to be returned to Sky once a Glass subscription is in place at the address. You can replace any Q Mini boxes with Stream pucks, at the cost of both an up-front fee and an ongoing subscription add-on, but note the cumulative internet bandwidth demand if these are in use simultaneously.
