Dolby Atmos on Netflix

The only way to get Atmos on Netflix is for the sound to be in passthrough. If it's set to Dolby Digital Plus you only get 5.1. How is it that you can get Atmos and on Prime and Sky channels but not Netflix?

It works on auto but I want DD+ so I can get fake surround in things like iPlayer etc instead of stereo.

Atmos and UHD on Netflix is part of their Premium subscription which you have to pay extra for

@Nigelb1972 thanks for the reply. Yes I have that. That's why I can get Atmos when the sound is set to pass through. It looks like it won't work when set to Dolby digital plus. Must be a stupid Netflix app thing.

It won't work on Digital Dolby+ because that will be locking to that format is 5.1 ...... I don't understand why you are trying to force a pseudo surround sound if your amp or soundbar supports Atmos and 5.1
