Random programs have background sound but no speech sound

Some programs have full sound in the background but main characters have no sound. It looks as though they are miming.

Have you tried unplugging the device for a couple of minutes?

I have tried in plugging and re setting system and checking software.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have tried unplugging and re-starting. A strange example I have just experienced. The trailer for the latest Chicken Run movie has full sound but the same scene in the actual movie does not. The main characters are silent!

Similar problem with Sky Glass.
Apart from the glitches with subtitles they knew about at launch (and said would be fixed ...soon...sometime... whenever) my Sky Glass has worked pretty well over past 2 years.
1 March 2025 at noon speech just disappeared from sound - only background noises coming through. Done all the twiddles, reboots of TV abd broadband, ditto all the settings
After restarting TV can get 30 seconds of speech 0 then off it goes again. - variable but all channels affected. all apps, even DVD
Oddly trailers for programmes sometimes have crystal clear speech.
UHD & HD seem worst affected,, old SD films etc on random channels I've never used sometimes get some muffled speech sounds .
Sky equipment checker insists the Glass is fine
Sky support said make sure it's on 5.0GHz bandwidth. Router meant to toggle automatically to the device request but switched off 2.4GHz and all devices - rebooted Glass
Restart gave me 30 seconds of speech - then nothing except loud background sounds.
Just had email for Sky price rise 'necessary for their continuing improvements' to their procucts - meanwhile I have to watch only subtitled TV programmes with sound turned down to obliterate the background special effects noises.😳

After much useless, tedious faffing, switching Glass & Broadband router on and off- the only thing that brings back speech for more than 30 secs (atm, fingers crossed) is switching viewing mode to MUSIC 🙄
Not a chuffin' clue why it worked.

yes putting it in MUSIC mode seems to work strangely 🤷🏽‍♂️
