Getting what I want from sky

First of all I have part of my package is a children's package that is of no use to us because we have no young children here took the package off and give it to somebody else free of charge.

Stop my programs with sky that keep frozen that is not good for purpose and I paid for it not good.

Big problems we are an elderly couple and we are getting in quite afraid to use our cell telly every time we switch on and find a decent film we get marked around and file it comes to the altar. Yes we've gotta pay for it. That is not what I paid for monthly who's to pay again to use my child so that I'm going elsewhere, thank you.

If you are new to the forum then welcome to the Community, which is predominantly made up of Sky customers helping other Sky customers. You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here.

To remove part of a TV package you need to contact Sky giving 31 days notice. If you have 'in contract' discounts you may not be able to remove them, because the discounts were provided on the understanding you’d be paying that discounted price for the full period. Also make sure cancellation of a certain add-on doesn’t affect another discount.

You may be able to remove it via this link which includes a message option (usually available between 9am & 7.30pm) or by calling using the number that should appear.

The above is very confusing, are you looking at films on Sky Store which are for buying or renting only?

No, no, no certainly not. This is not what we many years ago Joined sky from something that was good to use safe to use and affordable.

Today what you do on the television you're gonna be charged one you're watching films no matter what you do there's a charge you're so so wrong it's not fair.

The other day there was a very good western come on late with BBC too late to watch. Two days later I found it on sky the same Film but there was a charge of £8 to watch it or whatever you do two days prior there's no charge.

We are getting to the stage that were frightened to turn it on a extra child

If you 'found' that particular item in Sky Store then there would be a rental fee: that's the way it's supposed to work.

Whether or not the BBC had used Licence Fee income to buy the right to broadcast it previously isn't relevant to the on-demand distribution terms which Sky has negotiated with the content owner.

Individual items might well get periodic broadcast (on free-to-air or subscription channels) while also being available on-demand in free or subscription apps and get listed on one or more rental or purchase download services: studios have always been famously rather keen to maximise their earnings.

These items is what I'm trying to take off my packages. First one is sky sport I don't need it. Second one is sky children I don't need it
on sky the frame freezes. I'd like to have that stopped as I pay your body for it.

It was explained to you yesterday that this is a customer helps customer forum. You aren't speaking to Sky here.

The method for removing Sky Sports and Sky Kids is also explained in my first reply.

Removing those will lower your monthly payments (after the 31 day notice period).

Your second new thread has been removed. Duplicate threads cause confusion and unnecessary duplication of replies.

Regarding the freezing issue, I'm afraid Sky no longer support Sky+ and Sky+HD set ups (where you've posted). They won't send an engineer.

The alternative is contacting Sky to upgrade to Sky Q or change to Glass / Stream.
