Mobland season 2 not showing on Sky +

Just tried to access Mobland season 2 via Paramount + (debuts today) through Sky Cinema. Season 1 is still there, but guess what...no sign of season 2!!! Why are Sky + customers (despite paying the same for the same packages) treated like second class customers. Simply not good enough again from Sky, which is why I will 100% leaving next month after being a loyal customer for 13 years 👎

Because Sky no longer support Sky Plus as it is now obsolete

Sky would prefer customers to move to its streaming platform

Yes, but I'm still a paying customer for ALL its services! It's shocking! I don't want Sky Glass and can't get Sky Q even if I wanted to (due to living in a shared complex where the dish isn't compatible). Surely Sky need to look after its existing customers, while they still have them. No wonder they are losing thousands of long term customers every month. They have become such a poor company, with the most feeble 'customer service' known to earth!!😖

Sky's streaming service is not just Sky Glass, they offer Sky Stream for those that want to use their own TVs

Satellite TV is on its last legs and is being replaced due to the lack of any new satellites being launched to replace the existing ones that are at the end of their service

I don't want to watch through the internet, especially live sport, as there is a delay. Also, if the broadband goes down (which we all know frequently it does) - then you are absolutely stuffed and cannot watch anything then!

it's a shambles, and Sky will be defunct before long with the way they have rapidly gone down hill over the past 4-5 years with their lack of customer service and price hikes.

Goodbye Sky next month!👋

Won't happen in my lifetime. Governments can't force an elderly generation to have the internet, therefore free Sat/Freeview will remain for quite a few more years, otherwise practices in place to look after the wellbeing of older people will cry 'isolation'👍

Government cannot do anything about private satellites running out of positioning propellant: gravity isn't susceptible to legislation. They could potentially choose to keep Freeview going with state subsidy, but the spectrum it occupies is extremely valuable.

I imagine it'll turn up eventually.

There's been several examples of there being delays with eps being released over the past three years or so (for Star Trek, Landman, Lioness etc).

Sky claim they have no control over what Paramount+ provides. Paramount+ claim it's completely down to Sky as to what they upload to Sky+.

I emailed Sky when they weren't uploading S3 of Lioness. I was told that P+ had contacted them and told Sky that the third season wouldn't be made available for those with a +box. A month later, I randomly checked the show and found the first 4 eps had been uploaded as have subsequent eps each week. The finale is tomorrow, fingers crossed it appears.

Sky have also skipped certain episodes of shows. They missed ep 7 of Star Trek Strange New Worlds S4 yet uploaded ep 8 on time. A few days later, before ep 9 was released, they'd found the time to upload ep 7.

These issues aren't exclusive to Paramount+. A similar thing happened with the latest season of Rick and Morty on HBO Max, Sky skipped an ep and then a couple of weeks later it appeared.

Sometimes these things can take a few weeks to resolve and Sky will often tell you one thing and do another thing entirely.

Thanks for your response, that's helpful and good to know.

Yes, Sky aren't the best with their help when queried, and quick to pass the buck onto other providers, when as a Sky customer, I expect them to be able to answer questions in their output, which I'm paying for.

A similar thing happened with series The Agency through Paramount+ via Sky. There was absolutely no subtitles for scenes that 100% needed them, but when pointed out to Sky's 'help team' - they couldn't give a satisfactory answer as to why!

Any way, I'll be leaving now next month when my contract runs out, after being a customer for 13 years, as I'm not forking out for a substandard service.

Here's a response from the 'Sky help team' on my query about Mobland season 2...

"I completely appreciate that this must be frustrating. I've had this checked with the relevant team for you and they have advised that as Paramount+ is a third-party service, Sky doesn't have visibility of their future content plans or which platforms they choose to support.

Because of this, we're unable to confirm whether Season 2, Episode 1 of Mobland will be made available on Paramount+ via Sky Cinema on Sky+HD.

We'd recommend checking directly with Paramount+ for the most up to date information on content availability and supported devices.

I'm sorry I can't provide a more definite answer on this occasion.

The help desk is rather useless unfortunately.

When I was enquiring about Lioness S3 availability, Star Trek Strange New Worlds S4 had already started airing, and so I asked them if SNW S4 would be available? The help team said they didn't know (when I knew it was already live and active on the platform). So either they can't be bothered to check or they really don't have access to any available info.

SKY had basically cone back to me telling me that Sky+HD is "outdated and no longer supported" - yeet they are taking my money out of my account without any discount for what is a substandard service and platform! If I had any doubts about leaving Sky, then this latest setback 100% confirms that I'll be cancelling next month when my contract runs out. P**s poor from Sky all round as usual!

It will turn up eventually.It is down to Paramount+ to download it onto Sky irrespective of the platform and I am sure you get it included in your Cinema package.Same with Lioness series 3 then 5 episodes appearing eventually.Same issues with BBC and ITV this weekend with programmes unavailable for download yet.People who say Sky no longer support + are wrong .they will not replace your box etc or do repairs but everything should still work ok.they say that because they wan people to change to Q which will be defunct soon or buy Glass which is an inferior product with many issues unless you ahve superfast broadband as it uses so much width.

We have been a Sky customer for almost 25 years and also have a SKY+ box. We are having the same problem with trying to download Mobland & Lioness season 2. Our contract finishes in the next few months and we will not be renewing it. Over £90 per month & treated like 2nd class citizens. Which is a lot of money from a pension.
