I have a Sky plus had box connected to a new fibre optic broadband router. I had to switch everything off at the mains, when I switched it back on the TV will not recognise the Sky box. All connections are good and the router is working. Sky box power light is green. Contacted Sky and was told the box had failed and I would need to upgrade to sky Q as my box is not supported. Why would the TV not recognise the sky box. I have tried a reboot to no avail.

Sky Plus does not need broadband to work, sounds like powering off the box pushed it over the edge 😞

Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy/obsolete service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Glass, and/or Sky Stream.

Satellite TV is on its last legs and is being replaced due to the lack of any new satellites being launched to replace the existing ones that are at the end of their service
