How do I watch the match if I have Sky+ HD ?

I have access to HBO Max content via Sky Box Sets.

Do I need to get the HBO Max app and what is my login ?

@FastEddie1 unfortunately if you don't have a tnt sports subscription you won't be able watch the final

this is because the free access is only available via the HBO max app and isn't available via boxsets

it's not possible to activate the hbo app with your sky account outside of the sky ecosystem and given sky plus doesn't support apps it is unable to activate it

Giving all Sky+ subscribers access to TNT Sport 1 for a few hours should be possible.

Why???? Sky+ is unsupported, if you want access to content not avaiable on Sky+ then move to another Sky service that gives access, simples!

We're paying as much as others but prefer to use the user-friendly Sky + equipment.

We are supposed to have access to HBO Max per the email sent by Sky.

A workaround should've been arranged

to allow us access to the HBO Max app (and the free football as others are getting).

You have HBO via On Demand which is far more generous than I was expecting as Sky could have give access only via the app leaving us Sky+ users with no extra content

The woraround has been arranged for ages, move to Sky Q, Sky Glass or Sky Stream

The only "Others" that are getting the football for free are Sky Q, Sky Glass or Sky Stream customers

If you want to stay with Sky+, like we do, then you have to accept the limitations

Limitations... that are easy for Sky to resolve by giving us access to the HBO Max app via our Sky details.

They already have a solution but not for Sky+ (see my post above for details)

What would be in it for Sky when they want you off of Sky+, they would also preefer not to have Sky Q and get eveyone on Glass/Stream

As long as we are paying the same we deserve the same product.

Until Sky shut down access via Sky+ boxes they should provide us what they advertise.

@FastEddie1 sky has never allowed activation of other third party apps like paramount+, Disney + etc outside of the sky ecosystem, so they are not going to start now with HBO max just for the sake of one football match

Like @Annie+UK has indicated the fact we are getting the hbo max entertainment via boxsets is a bonus that nobody expected

How are we getting what we pay for when it's less than others who are paying the same ?

And why is it a bonus us getting HBO Max boxsets ?

My Sky+ system still gets updates showing new shows that are on or promoted so the system is still 'active'. Even the Sky+ app gets these updates.

Sky+ isnt totally unsupported. Giving us access to the HBO Max app isnt an outrageous request.

Customers who persist in using a technology platform which hasn't been manufactured for over a decade and is now two generations behind the current one cannot reasonably expect identical functionality.

It's linking the external apps to the Sky subscription which requires the use of current Sky hardware. Yes, there could probably have been alternative arrangements made for Sky+ customers but that would have been a significant complication which is frankly not in the commercial interest of Sky themselves.

If you want really Max access on supported hardware then pay HBO their £4.99

Unfortunately, it's not Sky who are giving away the Final for free. It's WBD, via their HBO Max App, which we don't have access to. Sky can't just give away free access to channels they don't own.

Any complaints should be directed at WBD , in previous years the finals have been available on YouTube, but not this year.

Shame on Sky for not doing the same ...

Virgin Media customers can watch Arsenal take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on Saturday night for free.

Following TNT Sports’ controversial announcement that the fixture would not be free-to-air or free-to-stream, the cable TV company will provide its TV subscribers with access at no extra cost.

This means that those without an active HBO Max or TNT Sports subscription can still watch the game on Virgin.

A dedicated HD pop-up channel, 526, has been activated, providing live coverage.

You seem to have the attitude that them over there have something and I want it too 😞

If you want what someone else has trhen move to the service they have rather than moan that your missing out, you have total control of the situation but decide that complaining it better than taking action

Your options are simple, move to another service that provides what you want!!!!!!!!!!!
