    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello knowledgable and helpful people !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank goodness for this community !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've been with Sky for years now, ten years or something, but I only have the basic package, Sky essentials, it's all I need and want.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyhoo...having constant trouble with the signal of late, like constantly. No bad weather, no obstruction, all cables are in properly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, having gone to virtual assistant for help, following all of the instructions, checking single feed is on etc. I logged into my account and followed all instructions there, but it just consistently took me to upgrade and keeps on saying that the only solution is to upgrade to Sky Q !!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does ANYONE know what is going on here please?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My Sky box is quite old, maybe II do need an upgrade, but why are they saying I need to upgrade to Sky Q, purely due to satellite and poor signal issues? Is it just the box I need? Is this what they mean?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Help ! &lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;"No &lt;STRONG&gt;Satellite&lt;/STRONG&gt; Signal" is an error generated by your Sky box, it has nothing to do with broadband (Internet connectivity) and usually indicates an issue with one or more of the following&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The Dish is misaligned (not all transponders are getting through, thus some channels may be affected and others not)&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The Tuners in the sky box&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The input sockets on the Sky box&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The plugs on the cables&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The cables themselves&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The Sockets on the dishes LNB&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;The dishes LNB has gone faulty for the connections the box is using&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;You have plugged your Sky+ box into a dish that is only compatible with Sky Q&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Please Note:&lt;/STRONG&gt; Sky+ is now a legacy/obsolete service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky &lt;STRONG&gt;Glass&lt;/STRONG&gt; and/or Sky &lt;STRONG&gt;Stream&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You may have to call out a local satellite installer (&lt;EM&gt; at your own expense &lt;/EM&gt;), unless you already have &lt;STRONG&gt;Sky Protect&lt;/STRONG&gt; insurance, to check/fix your system, another option is to move to Sky Glass and/or Sky Stream (self-install, no engineer required)&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Because Sky+ HD was superceded by Sky Q a decade ago (which is itself now being replaced by Glass/Stream)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As &lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/105"&gt;@Annie+UK&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;indicates, you could pay a local independent satellite dish installer to check the reception hardware.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Sky no longer permits the transfer of the Viewing Card, so sourcing a second hand box won't help.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You could consider acquiring a Freesat recording box to replicate that functionality.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
