Removing the movies package would be an option then you would drop down to the basic package which is Sky Signature, if you were to cancel this as well you would be left with the free channels only and you would be unable to record or pause.

I have a SKY + box and have just been made redundant and need to save costs. I dont have Sports, but I do have Cinema, apart from removing these, is there anything else that I can do?

@Ken8931 if you're not currently 'in contract' you might be able to negotiate a discount, but beware you'll be locked in for 2 years. Remove Cinema first for additional saving.

.

Again, if you're not in contract, you could cancel your Sky subscription completely and use the box solely to receive (not record) the free to air programmes like BBC1, BBD2, ITV, C4 and C5. You won't have access to existing recordings or On Demand if you cancel. And if you do cancel you won't be able later to resubscribe to Sky+ when your circumstances improve - you'll be forced to upgrade to Sky Q.
