Moving and no sky connection

Hi Guys.

Im moving at the end of the month and I have scheduled a home move from Sky.i have seen in the new property there is no socket to connect to Sky even though its a brand new build house.I think they do it on purpose so no one puts up dishes on the houses.

would they still be able to install Sky and if not what happens to my recent contract?

I signed up for a new term just 6 months ago and still over year left.

Its' quite common to have no Sky connection already in place. In most cases the engineer will find a suitable location for the dish and run cables from there via a hole in the outside wall to the room where you want the Sky box positioned..

The first thing to do is check at the Sales Office that the developers will allow a satellite dish to be erected. Some don't.

As @Daniel0210 indicates, new build developments are notorious for the presence of purchase and rental contract caveats forbidding dish installation: typically if dishes are permitted then the developers will seize the opportunity to charge a considerable markup to have a few pounds-worth of coaxial cable coiled up in the attic and an inappropriate socket in the wrong place...
