I would like to find out if it would cost more to upgrade to the add some sky channels to my basic account

Not sure Sky do upgrades for Sky+ any more

Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy/obsolete service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Sky Q (Satellite TV is approaching end of life so is not a long term solution)

You'd need to call Sky to discuss the costs of either upgrading to Sky Q or adding channels to your Sky+ subscription (but in this case Sky will try to steer you away from Sky+ as it's a legacy package which Sky not longer support).

The minimum would be Sky Signature on Q or Sky Essential TV on Stream. Apparently Q is no longer available through the Sky website, which is an indication that it's approaching the end of its product life.
