HDMI Picture But No Sound Solution

The HDMI sound suddenly disappeared but the picture was OK.

After swapping cables and TVs, still no sound.

I called our very helpful box supplier who suggested cleaning the socket with a paintbrush. As the HDMI cable hadn't been moved for years, I didn't hold much hope, but tried it anyway.

I also vacuumed the socket and to my surprise it worked and we have the sound back.

So I hope this is of help to anyone with the same problem. If this hadn't worked, we were going to try a scart to HDMI converter or consider getting the box repaired as Sky no longer pair up cards with boxes.
