I can watch BBC1, BBC2 and ITV No problem

When I connect via Sky there is lines across all these channels. Please explain why

I can watch Sky sports no problem

Tune to one of the affected channels and check your signal strength by keying Services > Settings > Signal on your remote. The white part of all four bars should be at least half way across.

I'm not Technical and I don't know how to do this ?

We're customers here and can't therefore call you. No technical expertise needed. just tune tp BBC1 thrn use your remote and key the sequence to check you signal. Press Services, then Settings then Signal.

Then post back and tell us how far across the white part of all 4 bars reaches.

Alternatively you could give Sky a call, but be prepared for them to tell you that you need to upgrade.

The white part is fully across on input 1 signal strength and quality ?

Input 2 signal strength and quality has just no white keeps going white then going off

I'm not used to this not being able to talk for a service like this

I've told you the white bars are only present on signal 1

Signal 2 there is no white bars ?

Try unscrewing the dish cables in the back of the Sky box and swapping them around

Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy/obsolete service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Q (all issues will be fixed during a Sky Q install), Sky Glass and Sky Stream

You may have to call out a local satellite installer, unless you already have Sky Protect insurance, to check/fix your system, another option is to move to Sky Q, as during the move all issues will be resolved as part of the install, there is also the option of Sky Glass or Sky Stream, if you want to move away from satellite TV and use the Internet

@Waterside20 we're a customer Community. You're not talking to Sky.

If you want help from Sky you'll have to call them.

From the signal strength you reported, it looks like you have a fault on one of the cables from your satellite dish.

Sky no longer send engineers to customers with Sky+ boxes, unless you have Sky Prptect, so you'll have to get help, at your own expense from a local satellite installer.
