How on earth do you pair a card to a new box. On line just keeps going around a loop

From 29th October 2024 sky has removed the ability to pair viewing cards to replacement boxes

viewing cards are now locked to the last box it was paired too (note: viewing cards are non transferable between accounts - hence buying a second hand box with a card included will NOT work)

any new viewing card sent will not work regardless of what you were told

you will need to call sky and discuss your options regarding upgrading to one of sky’s current tv products to continue to receive sky tv services

Thanks for a quick response, but i have a box at 2 addresses i just want to watch sky where i am.

What you've been told still applies. You can't use a viewing card with any additional box and in fact the card can only be used at the account address anyway.

@1twx That's technically a breach of contract ae viewing cards are only to be used at the address they are registered to

even So it's no long possible to swap cards between boxes regardless of circumstances

Below is from Sky's Terms & Conditions

4.4. You must only use the Viewing Card for private viewing purposes. You must not use it for any commercial or business purpose or in any premises other than your address.

4.5. The Viewing Card must not be used outside the country (either the UK or Republic of Ireland) it was supplied for use in.

Then all i need to do is register the address im at and it would not be a breach. The point is the info on line regarding pairing is hopeless.

It would as the viewing card is registered at the address it is at now and not this other one. You also can not pair the viewing card to a different box as Sky withdrew this back in October so it will only work in the box it is in now and not another one.
