hi @Nat1222

There are a few factors.

The first is whether you do have SKy +/HD (as per the group you posted in) or whether you have SKY Q

If you do have a SKY +/HD box then it depends whether you have a spare connection & cable to the LNB (the electronic bit on the dish) -if you do then you should be able to connect that to your TV and watch both together

If you don't have a spare conection & cable then there are probably 2 ways to achieve it

The best is to get the LNB changed to one with more outputs & get a cable run from the LNB to the TV

You can't just split the cable as the SKY box & TV both would send power & a 22KHz signal that would interfere with each other:

So you would need either an isolating switch to let you use either the TV or SKY box at any given time, which is not that suitable for a SKY Box which you might want to record on.

Or, alternatively use an isolating splitter which would not allow one connection (say TV) to send any power / 22KHz signal - this would allow you to, say, watch on both but would only allow the TV to watch a limited number of channels which are on the same polarity & band (there are low & high bands) as set by the other (e.g. SKY box) Hope that makes sense

If you have a SKY Q box then you need a specialised Hybrid LNB that has connections suitable for both SKY Q (which uses different 'Wideband' connections) and connections suitable for the TV ('Universal ' connections)
