Good morning all,

i have occured a problem with my SKY BOX its the older version, i have one in our bedroom and one in the living room, but the its the one in our bedroom that as stop working altogether ive even tried changing the batterties in the remote controller to no avail and also trying switching off by the mains even took out the SKY cables plus dusty the box ? as the one in the living room works perfectly fine, do i need to change to a new SKY box or is it best to upgrade it to a SKY Q box? And do you know if SKY would initally engineer would come out to see what the fault is? Or would they just send me a upgrade with no extra charge or do i pay a extra upgrade fee for the SKY Q boxes for the bedroom and our living room?could anyone help me please regarding this matter?

Kind Regards

Ms Nasima Kholwadia

Sky no longer support Sky+ and Sky+HD so won't send an engineer. If you have Sky Protest through Domestic and General Insurance you can call them otherwise you'll need to employ a local satellite engineer at your own expense (or upgrade to Sky Q or change to Glass / Stream).

I will move your post to the Sky+ board for possible advice on your Sky+ issue.m

@Naz+786 in what way is the bedroom box not working? Any oights on the front panel?

If you switch to Sky Q, both boxes will be replaced. Sky do have a free upgrade option which may suit you and it would be best to give them a call to see what they can do for you. The boxes will be installed by Sky and as part of the process, they'll inspect your dish and cabling and correct any issues at no additional cost.

Alternatively you can buy your own used, replacement Sky+ box from ebay etc.
