You will need to source your own second hand replacement Sky+ box or move to Sky Q/Stream/Glass, Sky will not replace it unless you already have Sky Protect Insurance

Anyone across the South East will have been aware if the massive thunder & lightening storm last night. It seems my ariel was struck by lightening, causing a surge across the house, including irreparable abd permanent damage to my TV, ariel and Sky box. I'm not sure what to do first! Will Sky replace the box? Thanks.

Not if it's a Sky+ box, I'm afraid, but you can pick up a used Sky+HD box cheaply from ebay etc. Just choose only either DRX890 or DRX895 model. You shouldn't need to pay more than around £30.
