Sky HD + satellite issues.

For the last number of days, we have had sattelite issues on our box 'Your Sky+HD isn't getting a satellite signal'..Sky History GONE All BBC HD GONE Channel 4 GONE..But some Sky there at the moment..We are not on broadband, just TV and Sky box as internet bad here..can you help please

The first thing to try, if you haven't already, is restarting your Sky box - switch off at the plug for at least 4 minutes.

While it's turned off, check that the 2 dish connections at the back of the box are still firmly in place.

If the fault is still there, and unless you have Sky Protect, you'll need to arange for a local satellite installer to check your dish alignment and cables. Alternatively, if you upgrade to Sky Q, the dish will be checked at no extra cost to you, when Sky Q is installed.

Thanks, I did this numerous times, no joy..Upgrading when we do not have broadband in rural area only through TV, don't know if they still do that..

Sky is typically reluctant to install Q at an address without broadband. A main Q box can function for live television and recording/playback (only) in those circumstances (assuming the installer can manage to activate it using a mobile hotspot) but Q Mini boxes expect an ISP router to be available for IP addressing.

Thanks..I shall have to make enquiries..more dissapearing from Sky + now.
