Sky+HD boxes cannot run apps like ITVx. You would indeed need to upgrade to Sky Q or Sky Stream.

I have a sky+HD box and unable to load itvx, I've been on the phone to Sky over 2 hours today to try and get this sorted, only to be told that I need to update to SkyQ, whereas the advisor on the phone told me that there was a specialist team to help download the itvx app, for customers with Sky+HD boxes - so can you advise how I get this sorted??
