Aerial splitter advice

Currently have Sky+ HD where main aerial feed goes into sky box then to tv by hdmi. We also use rf output to a splitter to feed aerial to bedroom TVs. Upgrading to sky q which does not have rf output. Does anyone have any advice please - we are getting mini boxes for tv bedrooms. Thank you in advance for any help

The Mini boxes will take the place of your current RF connection (and provide much a much better picture and sound). You'll be able to do away with the splitter and RF (aerial) cables.

So if I understand correctly the mini boxes will pick up the digital aerial feed over WiFi for the regular bbc itv and freeview channels?

Do I need to worry about aerial feed to main tv at all?

@AHawk your Sky Q box and the Mini boxes can receive all the Freeview channels that you're currently receiving via your TV aerial, so you don't need an aerial feed to your main TV.

You could, if you wanted to, keep the feed from your TV aerial just in case of a problem with your Sky Q box.

Satellite dish feed rather than ' digital aerial feed '

The main Q box receives the broadcast signal for all the live broadcast channels which the satellite cluster carries, and retransmits the selected content to one or more Mini boxes: this includes the PSB and other free to air services.

An 'aerial' is not relevant to Q: as @Mark39 indicates, you could choose to attach it to the digital terrestrial tuner in a television set.
