V 10 remote not accepting Teac av amp code

I have purchased a new original sky remote which says inside that it is a SKY120 sky HD rev 10

my older cheaper one is saying it's a SC030 (URC1662) sky HD rev 10 inside

the amplifier is a TEAC CR-H255 and it's code is 0449

My old remote is able to control the volume on the amplifier and if you press the select with number 1 for the double flash followed by 0449 you get a steady led and it controls the telly....

the new remote however gives you the double flash waiting for the code and if you enter other codes from your list that are not in 'blue text' it accepts it

so..... why are the codes in blue not functional on my brand new remote.... and state they are only for rev 9 ???

How can I control the amp now without this code function ? Will it ever work?

this is a brand new original remote and was a Christmas present

how do I get this fancy new one working like the old one that I bought on eBay????

not looking good that an original shy remote won't work as well as my old cheapo one
