Cinema Offer rescinded

After speaking to a helpful chap today at Sky about my Sky + hd remote control problems, he is sending me one for free !

I was surprised and confused when he offered me Cinema ( no Paramount + ) for only 2 pounds extra per month. Not the 2 pounds off the normal 12, only an extra 2 pounds !. I foolishly declined the offer being a little sniffy about no Paramount +. I have called back twice since and there is no record of this happening.

My fault I realise that. I just thought all calls would be logged with some information as to theor content.

Anyone been in a similar situation ?

It's common, I'm afraid. Offers are only valid at the time they're made. At least you got a free remote!
