Remote code for a Hisense 50A6GTUK

My Hisense TV did a update. Now the sky remote does not work. I can't remember the code that worked. I have tried all the codes on sky. Hope somebody has another one that works.

The same happened to me . I've put in the old code (0536, which worked for 2 years) but it is no longer recognised. I've tried all the codes suggested by sky and others but no joy.Any suggestions?

Try resetting your remote first, by programming it with 999, then try again.

I've tried this but again no success. As I said I did not have a problem before the update earlier this week and have tried every suggestion on the web. Most frustrating.

My sky + remote is version 9F. I've tested that it is functioning by proramming it for a Samsung and it works fine.

I can't imagine why the TV manufacturer would deliberately change the code as part of an update. All you can do is try the 'every code' approach as @Annie+UK posted. If that doesn't find a code, there's no compatible code on the chip contained in the remote.

Presumably because that's what the TV IR receiver was originally programmed to receive. There's no way for the IR frequencies transmitted by the Sky remote using that code can have been changed.

I've just contacted Hisense support and they gave me a code of 2427 and also generic codes of 0532( which is the nikkai code in my handbook) and 8087. Could not get any of these to work.

Did they say they were codes for the Rev.9F remote? They might be for the latest Rev.10 .

I've contacted Hisense again and spoke to a different person. He said that hisense do not provide codes and it was a matter for sky. Hisense provide a facility to add blue tooth control but this was not possible with sky IR devices. I went through the issue in detail and he agreed to refer this to the software development team and , at my suggestion, they contact sky to try and resolve the problem as a customer services issue. I gave him my email for him to advise any progress. Sky seem to think that using the no code method will pick up the appropriate code but I've tried this adnauseam without success. I'll contact sky directly next week.

Thanks for your interest. Any further thoughts?

I'll put off buying a version 10 until I contact sky.

It will IF there's a suitable code on the chip.

It seems odd that a previous code worked fine before but doesn't now, apparently because of a TV firmware update. Does the Hisense remote still work ok? And does the IR receiver light on the tv still flash when you use both remotes?

And just to check the Sky remote is transmitting - if you point a mobile phone camera at the end of the Sky remote and press TV then Standby you should see a burst of white light on your mobile screen

Yes both remotes working with respective equipment, Sky remote does not interact with red led on TV. White light burst appears on camera.

I contacted sky technical support and relayed all the previous information. They suggested I try a v10 remote rather than my current v9f. They also advised a different coding method to that inmy sky box manual and appearing almost everywhere else on the internet.

The method suggested was

Press tv

Press select and red together

Enter code

Press select

I have just purchased a v10 sky+HD remote and using code 2429 have successfully controlled both volume and on/off using this method. It did not work with the v9f using this method. Neither did it work with the standard method suggested in the sky box manual( and that included with the v10 remote).

I hope this is useful to other Hisense tv users.

The sky technician is calling back next week to see how I got on so hopefully they will review their advice to users in their manuals.
