Cannot record sky channels

I am having a problem with recording channels. I can record something from a terrestrial channel but if I select a Sky channel, the R comes up to say it is recording but nothing records. Can anyone help please.

You should see a failed recording in your Planner. Highlight it and press i on your remote. The reason for failure will be shown on screen. What does it say?

I doesnt show on the planner at all. On the programme listings the red R shows as though it is recording but if you press green to go into the planner nothing shows at all and nothing records. This only happens with Sky channels, not BBC ITV etc. Weird.
