Can't Download

I've noticed this query from alot of Sky+ box users and I have to add my name to the list, I'm unable to download any channels except for BBC & ITV. I'm constantly getting Download Failed for everything else, I've tried all things suggested even the DNS number change but still no good. Please help! Ironically this happened hours after chatting to Sky on the phone about them trying to get me onto Sky Q so I'm very suspicious

Any help please regarding downloading of any Sky channels? Tried lots of stuff but still to no avail starting to think it's a Sky conspiracy to change from Plus to Q ..

Forget the conspiracy theory. It's no more a conspiracy than hard disk failure, loss of signal or anything else that might go wrong with Sky+.

Much more mundane, I'm afraod, tt's a long outstanding fault which Sky are still investigating albeit glacially slowly, as you can see from this thread:

Try changing your DNS server on the Sky box, you might have to try a couple before you find one that works

Try 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220 first 🙂

1.1.1.2 or 1.0.0.2

8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4

94.140.14.14 or 94.140.15.15

Thanks for your help & advice but after trying all those DNS numbers I'm still experiencing the problem. Unfortunately Sky could well be losing another customer in the near future 🙄

Or you could try to use it to your advantage to see if Sky will offer you a good deal to switch to Sky Q?

Hi Folks! Well I'm into almost 6 months of not being able to download anything except BBC & ITV. Is there any new things people can suggest, apparently Sky were or had been working on the issues yet it's obviously not working for me just yet. Are they trying to slowly eradicate Sky+ boxes that's what I'm thinking, anyway back to what I asked, has anyone out there any new suggestions?

The MTU on your router might need changing, contact your ISP

Try: MTU 1458 if 1500 does not work
