Hi I have a spare sky+ box in my bedroom that I want to use as freeview but it won't work as it needs a viewing card how can I get a card

Freeview is delivered by a TV aerial and NOT a satellite dish

A Sky+ box, with the correct dish, will work as a FreeSAT receiver without a viewing card

It will only do that if you are trying to access a channel that requires a subscription

Yes trying to get bbc player and other online stuff I'm sure I read a while back that you paid sky £20 for a card for this content

Sky don't provide that service any more but no harm in calling and asking
