Sick of spam in yahoo

I am so sick of the spam emails that are getting put in my inbox even after I have blocked the email addresses and my sky emails are being sent to the junk mail. What is yahoo playing at?

Why some people get lots of spam with Sky Yahoo Mail and others get very little, I don't know. There's little point in blocking spam, as the spammer simply uses a slightly different address to evade it. The only real solution is to mark them as spam and eventually the system should learn to dump them in the Junk folder. A more radical option might be to switch to an alternative email provider which might have better control over spam.

Thank you @Mark39 for your suggestions. I have been marking them as spam and some of the emails have exactly the same address. Sky used to run through Gmail which was much better than yahoo.

Google stopped providing the service hence Sky moving to Yahoo but there is nothing from stopping you setup up a Gmail address with Google and using that instead.

Unfortunately I suspect your account has been compromised by a scammer.

Did you recently reply to an email asking you to upgrade/verify your email address?

Not that I'm aware of. I don't interact with emails don't recognise., but thanks.
