topic Recovery code in Email

Recovery code

Hi. My sky account and email have been hacked managed to change my sky I'd password but can't remember the recovery code to use the 2 step verification as the forwarding phone number has been changed by whoever accessed my accounts , any suggestions?

If you didn't make a note of the Recovery Code, you'll need to give Sky a call.

Even if @tracey2411 did know the original recovery code, if someone has changed the 2FA phone number, they would have been given a new recovery code.

It makes you wonder how whoever gained access to the account, could change the number, considering how genuine users have trouble doing it.

I can only assume the original email with the original recovery code was still available in the account.

Is that right? I've never tried it. In that case @tracey2411 it's a matter only of calling Sky, I'm afraid..

Yes, I've got one account that I really only use for testing the 2FA on Sky, I wouldn't chance having it on my main account. It's too likely to go wrong.
