Lost emails

I have lost my emails on my yahoo mail. I can receive new emails but I cannot access anything prior to yesterday in my inbox. I do have folders set up and my emails are there but emails not in folders seem to have disappeared. I could use search function and could be there but some emails are years old so be like finding a needle in haystack. I've changed password, deleted safari mail app. I cannot get emails on app or by logging into website directly. I've also updated software on iPad & iPad. Is there any advice?

Check for any Archive folder, also check to seee if there's a setting to hide emails older than a set time.
