e mail in spam file about yahoo upgrade

received an e mail testerday from another sky.com email address about ignoring upgrades to my sky e mail account and myaccount was being deactivated today. E mail automaticall picked up by spam filter. has any one else received a similar e mail

Hundreds if not thousands of people have because they are always doing the rounds, your email has done it's job by marking it as spam because this is what it is.

I got it and because it was in my spam filter i re registered now I cant access my emails and they have changed my password and emailed all my contacts asking if they use amazon. I feel very foolish and don't know where to go from here, I've googled who to contact and nothing is obvious, can anyone help?

You'll have to call Sky (not Yahoo) for help, I'm afraid. There may be a problem if you no longer have a Sky subscription.

I will try, my husband has the sky account, I gave up mine when we moved in together but still kept my email address, what a nightmare today is arrgh.

Great stuff from the replies and 10/10 for them 🙂

Problem at moment is that although, emails go to Inbox which is how I want it, but what actually is in Inbox are more non-emails, than emails from friends! Last night no friends' emails had arrived, so thought to check other options like send etc, then had a look at Spam, and to my surprise found emails there, when that section should be empty!!

Also discovered that when I delete old stuff, that also ends up in Spam! Tested it out last night and deleted some info emails and they all ended up in Spam, as I watched it happen!! Oh and when I did receive an email some time ago, message poppd up and told me it was Spam, but told it, it wasn't!

I would use Windows 10 Mail, but since the change to Sky Yahoo, Windows own Mail program doesn't work at all, and you can try and change as much as you like, but its dead in the water! Installed New Outlook but during typing it interfers too much so binned it.

The Settings icon in Yahoo/Sky email page does not open when clicked, and why is that?

This is a stand alone desktop computer, Windows 10, and I'm the only user on it, and belongs to me!

One more thing...when you click on Compose, it opens to a crack of one line, which isn't how it used to be. Rest of Yahoo/Sky email page has News items, which take up a lot of the page. I don't need that either. Please do something, and thanks.
