Emails repeatedly downloading when deleted on outlook

Hi emails on Yahoo are fine when I log directly into Sky/Yahoo but on outlook they repeatedly download after I have deleted them. Can anyone help me?

Is your email account setup as a IMAP one or perhaps a POP one ?

With imap what you see via Outlook should be the same as you login online so are you sure they are actually being downloaded each time or are they just there when you go to Outlook. If you delete them online they should be deleted via Outlook.
