Emails not sending from outlook but being received ok, is this a new general issue?

I'm unable to send emails using outlook whether I use my PC, phone or Ipad however all three are currently receiving them fine, is this a general issue with the Sky server?

Hello.

I'm having trouble withe my outgoing Yahoo emails disappearing. They sometimes get stuck in the Outbox, but when I retry sending them, they don't appear anywhere. I've called Customer Services and they informed me that Yahoo no longer want to work with Sky and that many people are encountering the same problems. They said that even if they fix my problem today, it will recur next week, and so on. Is this true? Do I have to give up the only email address I've used in the last 25 years and move to a different provider?

What you have been told is a load of nonsense so lets start from the beginning, do you use Outlook or do you use the sky website to access your emails ?

I'm having the exact same problem I'm accessing from my phone and my incoming mail is working fine but outgoing it says it cannot connect to the server or that the server is not responding and I can't send any emails at all

I'm going through Sky Yahoo. I don't have problems with incoming emails, but when I send one, I get a message saying there is a problem connecting to the server.

I managed to send email from explorer on PC but cannot send from mail on iphone. just sits in outbox

I called the call centre back and got a different person. They were really helpful. They had not heard anything about problems between Sky and Yahoo and said there was no need to migrate to another provider.

Hi, finally got through to someone and managed to send an email via the sky website in yahoo mail but outlook still not working they were not sure if there is a general issue but advised waiting 24 hours!!

Me too, on my PC and Android tablet. All the server settings appear to correct and certainly haven't changed since yesterday. I CAN send via the website but would prefer not to have to. No problems reported with Sky elsewhere.

I'm reluctant to call Sky and will keep an eye on this page. Any advice would be appreciated.

Me too! There was a problem connecting to the server. Your email will be sent as soon as the connection is restored.

Tried multiple devices, worked fine yesterday..?
