Verification update for sky emails

I keep getting an email to say I need to up my sky email account as follows

(Sky will discontinue support for the old version (IE) 8. If you choose not to update your browser before 7th September 2023 , you'll be switched to our Basic Mail experience)

I dont really understand this as looked on Yahoo sky mail and outlook nothing to say there about updateing so was wondering is this a SCAM

It is a scam so mark the email as spam and do the same should you be sent anymore as there will never be a time where you need to update anything as Sky/Yahoo would do this themselves.

Hm. I assume you're not using version 8 of Internet Explorer?

You might want to investigate. This from Sky's help here:

"Please note: Sky Yahoo Mail no longer supports Internet Explorer, so it is not included below."
